About Americas Home Place

The America's Home Place Story

America's Home Place was founded in 1972 by Barry Conner of Gainesville, Georgia. Mr. Conner continues to run Americas Home Place, where some 300 employees utilizing a network of thousands of top building providers strive daily to promote the business mission Conner laid out in 1972:

Focus on principles of integrity over profit and build top quality custom homes at affordable pricing his competitors couldn’t touch. That simple, yet powerful business mission has helped Americas Home Place flourish: Today, Americas Home Place has 45 building centers in 11 states. But growth alone isn’t the only measure of the company’s success: For every five homes the company builds for new homeowners, it receives, on average, three referrals from satisfied customers.

The Americas Home Mission

For most people, building a new custom home is the single most important decision they will make, full of emotion and too often, anxiety. Americas Home Place strives to make the emotional aspect of the project always positive, while reducing anxiety and allowing the owner-builder to enjoy and revel in, their exciting new home prospect.

In exit surveys with Americas Home Place customers, fully 96% report a positive, anxiety-free process. Americas Home Place builders involve the customer in every aspect of the building and design process. Questions and requests are handled immediately, courteously and in knowledgeable detail that doesn’t insult the buyers’ intelligence of the buyer.

Maintaining a full staff of central office and in-field Architectural Designers, Americas Home Place spends time with every customer-builder. The process often begins with plan and design selection, and discussions about suitability to the customers land or lot. For this important stage, the company offers prospective buyers over 100 original designs, each one fully customizable.

In the final design stages, the customer can be confident that he or she has chosen the best home model with the options that suit their life needs, property setting and budget. No other builder provides a comparable level of one-to-one interaction with its customers the way Americas Home Place does.

The Americas Home Place Building Process

One-to-one customer care continues throughout the building process. Americas Home Place customers are never “out of the loop” when it comes to building their new custom homes. Each home under construction is assigned a dedicated Building Superintendent who not only assures that schedules will be met and budgets honored, but provides constant feedback to the owner on the progress of his or her exciting project.
